Artist's Comments

UPDATED (Jan. 2008): I shaded it a bit. As it turned out, my old display was too dark and the shadows in this picture were too pale:/

The first Snape's memory from "Deathly Hallows".
I don't know if a kid of his age can have such a big nose:/ Well, there are loads of much more strange things in the world :)
Though I'm worried (not that much lol) he is too cute for Snape. Typically he was quite ugly in my sketch. If you don't fear to see , my Severus WP is here:

The dark, dark eyes look right. But honestly, you really could let yourself go with his nose. He had a large nose even as a kid. I say, play it up because that's Snape!

Penguins. Lovely.

The bigger the better

He has such a mild and sweet expression! Beautiful!
:iconmerggiona:
Thanx so much! :)
I think Snape (from very early age) can be really handsome only when nobody looks at him and he allows himself not to suppress sincere expression ("good" expression, I mean. He doesn't bother to hide "bad" one :))

You're welcome! I totally agree with you! I can imagine Snape was a sweet boy - well, otherwise Lily wouldn't have been friend with him. Sweet, lean, a little bit sad boy with sparkling black eyes. :)

wow thats amazing! how did you do those leaves??? im usually sooo lazy with backgrounds even when i really want detail haha
:iconmerggiona:
Thank you! :D
Heh, the leaves are a few changed standard Photoshop brush (more precisely - loads of layers with different blending mode and opacity). I think I use too many Photoshop tricks for my backgrounds, but I'm too lazy too :D

This is fantastic!
